The resort of Olu Deniz lies on the Mediterranean
coast, just a short drive away from Fethiye. It has beautiful
crystal blue lagoon, as well as a sandy white beach that adorns
many Turkey travel guides. Although this resort is popular, and
has been extensively developed, its charm is not lost. With its
stunning views and beautiful beaches, there is no better place
to spend a relaxing holiday. Overlooking Olu Deniz
is Hisaronu located on the mountain. It provides a large range
of restaurants, bars, clubs and shops that you may require. However,
Olu Deniz does have many local amenities itself. Both of these
small resorts are becoming well-known for their outdoor activities,
including water sports and paragliding, which goes from the Babadag
Mountain. There are also many boat trips that you can take, which
give you a brilliant idea of the coastline as well as the location.
However, if you would prefer to keep on dry land, there are many
small paths up into the hills that offer both great views as well
as small villages in which you can explore the culture of the
area. Lying in the mountains is also the interesting ‘Greek Village’
which was evacuated during the war between Turkey and Greece (1919-1923),
and holds a rich history.
Olu Deniz has much accommodation to offer every
holidaymaker, from quality hotels to apartments for self
catering. Olu Deniz also boasts fine
beaches and is a peaceful location– it has everything you need

Blue
Lagoon
The Blue Lagoon of Olu deniz has beautiful blue, clear waters.
They’re also very still waters, which makes this area perfect
for water sports. It is also an ideal location for children to
swim. A section of the lagoon is now a protected area, and a national
park, which makes for some great exploring adventures!
Butterfly
Valley
There are a variety of boat trips available from Olu Deniz, which
go along the coast in both directions. However, if you prefer
having your feet on the earth, and feel more adventurous, there
are many footpaths that lead up and down the valley. If you follow
the rocky footpath from outside ‘George House’ which is a well-known
location, and take the Faralya/Kabak road you reach Butterfly
Valley. The valley has a large amount of nature and the most amazing
beach. However, there are no modern facilities, just a small restaurant
and some huts, making it the perfect relaxing day trip.
Gemiler
Island
This island can be reached by the many daily boat trips. This
island was once an early Christian island, which was dedicated
to St Nicholas. It provides a beautiful trip to soak up the sun,
and explore the area.
