Town
Hall
This new town hall of the late 19th Century is built on the site
of the original d'En Pau Rei mill and the Torre de las Vila Tower.
Both sections were demolished and the plans for this new town
hall were drawn up. This neo-classical building was planned by
Félix de Azúa, and built shortly after 1867
Sant
Pere del Bosc
Formerly owned by the fishermen’s union and just 5kn from the
town centre, this building dates back to the 12th century. It
has a small chapel named de Déu de Gràcia (Our Lady
of Grace) chapel. It was bought by an American named Nicolau Font
i Maig, who had this chapel built as well as completing much restoration
on the building itself
En Plaja's Castle
This building, situated at the end of the Sa Caleta beach, is
in fact a house-castle which was started in 1935 but was not finished
until the 1940s, after the Civil War had finished. The construction
was very modern for its time, and bought about controversy with
the local people. However, the castle has become a symbol of Lloret,
as many postcards and pictures depict this stunning building and
its brilliant architecture.
