Es Cana is a family-friendly resort with many
facilities. There are golden sands on the beach and many streets
of restaurants, family entertainment and other activities. There
is also a small harbour which is still used for local fishing,
which adds to the picturesque town of Es Cana.
Es Cana is located on the east of Ibiza, which
provides more secluded and peaceful resorts. The beach is a great
place to spend the day with the children, as they play in the
sand and sea you are able to lay down and relax. The whole beach
is supervised by lifeguards, and the beaches are sandy, making
it a really safe place to let them play. During the daytime there
are also sporting facilities, as well as shops and local cafes
in which you can have a coffee. On a Wednesday there is the famous
Hippy Market, where you can pick up crafts and jewellery
from different parts of the world.
As well as the daytime, the evenings are packed with plenty to
do. Restaurants serve candlelit meals for couples, and most cater
for the whole family. Providing traditional food, as well as English
food, there is bound to be something to suit everyone’s tastes.
After dinner, there are many places to take a romantic stroll,
or to entertain all the family. Many hotels provide there own
evening entertainment, but there is also much to be found in the
resort centre.

San Carlos
This is a rather small but famous village north of Es Cana. San
Carlos is a meeting place for hippies and the foreign residents
on the island of Ibiza.
They gather to have drinks in the small bars in the village, or
at the hippy market which takes place every Saturday here.
Hippy Market
Just a short walk from the resort centre is the Hippy Market,
which is held every Wednesday. It is where you are able to pick
up handmade objects and craft items, as well as some unusual items
of clothing. The handmade jewellery is specifically beautiful,
and is well worth buying as a keepsake of your holiday in the
sun!
