This vibrant and sun-drenched resort is located in the south
west of Tenerife. It is one of the largest resorts on the island,
and is only a short drive from the Reina Sofia airport. It is
popular with both couples and families on both luxurious and bargain
package holidays. Tenerife boasts many facilities
including sandy beaches and activities on and off the water.
The beach provides many activities, and there are many places
offering sailing. Sailing has become popular within this resort
as there are large winds from the massive Atlantic Ocean, while
the sun still pours down.
Costa Adeje is also popular with scuba divers
on holiday. Tenerife boasts large expanses of
water that are crystal clear. Below these waters there is much
marine life to be seen, as well as many attractive plants. The
coast is also home to dolphins as well as small pilot whales.
Away from the sea, Costa Adeje is also well-known
for its golf course, Golf Costa Adeje. The course is so popular
with golfers that it is included in the PGA TOUR. There are also
many other sporting facilities on offer, if you want to stay on
dry land!
Costa Adeje is also a shopper’s paradise and with Playa Americas
so close, there are shops to tempt everyone on holiday. Tenerife
also boasts many theme parks and water parks on offer, as well
as other activities for the whole family.
Barranco del Infierno
In English the "Barranco del Infierno" translates to
Hell’s Gorge or Hell’s Ravine. It is located just a short walk
away from the town centre and is the deepest and most stunning
ravine on the whole of the Canary Islands.
The Aqualand Costa Adeje waterpark
Aqualand is the only water park on the island and boasts many
slides and water rides. It also has a dolphinarium, where you
can watch the dolphins perform. This is a great day for all the
family away from the beach!
