Benalmadena is within easy distance of both Malaga city and the International airport. It has a stunning location which looks out onto the Mediterranean Sea, and this may be why it has grown rapidly in over the last twenty years. It has also become very popular with visitors, particularly with the British. Because of this the lively resort becomes even livelier in the summer months.

Because of its seaside location the sea breeze makes sure the temperature is comfortable, but the beaches are still sun-drenched particularly during the summer.

There are three separate areas to Benalmadena. The most popular being Benalmadena Costa that runs along the coast. It provides many bars and restaurants and a lively nightlife. However, if you want to get away from the beach Benalmadena Pueblo which is a small picture of the way Benalmadena used to look. Arroyo de la Miel however, is the busy town centre, which is perfect for amenities and for a taste of cosmopolitan shopping
