Enjoy a cheap holiday in Menorca
Menorca (Minorca) is a quiet island, compared
to its lively neighbours with superb, clean beaches and plenty
of sights to see.
The island's colourful history is clear to see with ancient ruins
and historic buildings all around the island, it has been described
as "a huge open-air museum". Make sure you don't miss
La Mola fortress in Mahon, the taulas (t-shaped monoliths) and
pre-historic watchtowers and burial chambers scattered throughout
the countryside.
The beaches are beautiful, many with pale, silver sand. Take a
boat tour around the island, you can do this from all the resorts
and many boats have glass bottoms so you can inspect the clear
sea.
Menorca has much to offer holidaymakers - from quiet unspoilt
coves and ancient villages to diving in underwater caverns and
shopping in historic towns.
