Turkey's attractions
Lagoon
of Olu Deniz
Ölü Deniz is one of the most stunning places in Turkey.
This is a protected area of outstanding natural beauty, so there
are no huge hotels or ugly developments to be found. A calm turquoise
blue lagoon, formed by a curved white strip of sand that reaches
far out to sea, nearly touching the other side. Ideal for watching
the sunset and taking it really, really easy.
Bodrum
The town of Bodrum is packed with great clubs and bars, but the
small towns around the beautiful Bodrum Peninsula are ideal for
holidaymakers looking for a more relaxing atmosphere. An impressive
medieval castle dominates the bay, where the Aegean and the Mediterranean
Seas meet.
Choose from the many sandy beaches in the quiet bays along the
southern coast. The clear, warm sea is ideal for scuba diving
and exploring the numerous reefs, caves and ancient rock formations
- look out for octopuses!
Cappadocia
Take a balloon ride over Cappadocia in the amazing Central Anatolia
region for the best view of the fascinating "moonscape"
valleys where erosion has formed caves and clefts and in the soft
volcanic rock - known as the "Fairy Chimneys". You can
get to Cappadocia and the other National Parks easily by bus from
anywhere in Turkey.
Pamukkale
Calcium baths
One of the most popular places to visit - these hot calcium springs
have been revered for their healing properties since Roman times
and they have to be seen to be believed. The surface looks like
ice but the mineral water which comes from springs deep underground
is very hot - over 30 degrees - take a dip and feel the benefit.

Explore and enjoy the beauty of Turkey
A visit to Turkey wouldn't be complete without taking a Turkish bath. All towns and resorts have
bathhouses. And for the men - a Turkish shave is an unforgettable experience. The closest shave you'll
ever have, it involves lots of pampering with creams and balms and is finished off by a unique ritual with
a flaming torch...
Turkey's excellent resorts on the Meditteranean, Aegean and Black Seas, are now well established
as favourite destinations for visitors from the UK. The beaches are rarely crowded and all
resorts boast great restaurants, bars and clubs.
More overlooked are Turkey's many archeological sites (there are more ancient Greek ruins in
Turkey than in Greece) and the unique valleys created from volcanic rock. These are ideal
for a trip out when you're ready to take a break from the beach.

Relax and enjoy Turkey's fabulous coastal resorts
Turkey is a country of great contrasts. There are many quiet resorts
where holidaymakers head to chill out on sandy beaches and in warm
clear seas, yet Turkey's nightlife is quickly gaining a reputation
as one of the liveliest in Europe.
